Empire building is a holistic pursuit, which means that you need to care for and develop yourself on all levels all the time. These are the years that we invest in realizing our dreams and it’s critical that we will not lose sight of who we are in this process. For example, chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow will potentially get us there, only to find out that it’s not what we thought it will be.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Business is business,” meaning that it doesn’t matter what business you’re in. But that simply isn’t true. If you stop to think about how much of your day-to-day life is focused on your career, you’ll see that you need to love what you do.
